The Mercedes 300SL was a truly special car even back then, and only a select few could call it their own. Internally designated W198, it was available as a coupe and roadster for just under 30,000 DM and was produced between 1954 and 1963, with a total production run of approximately 3,258 units. Besides its numerous motorsport successes, the W198 was particularly popular among celebrities from show business, businesspeople, and royalty.
Today  Only a few of these beautiful vehicles remain, and they change hands for seven-figure prices.
